Performers and creatives often set themselves huge tasks as they want to achieve their goals and become stage ready quickly. It's great to have goals and something to aim for but If you feel you have a mountain to climb in front of you, you will often become overwhelmed and feel completely daunted by the prospect. Have in your mind the goal you are aiming for but break it down into achievable bite size pieces and just take one step at a time. When climbers embark on climbing Mount Everest, even they know it can't be done at once. They have to climatise themselves to each part of the mountain and they have camps set up at various points along the way. Set your camps and aim for them. See them as milestones and praise yourself when you get there and then start again from that point. Before you know it you will have climbed your mountain. Just remember to stay focused and do only one thing at a time. Before you know it you will have climbed that creative mountain.
